In Anoka we have been back to pre-covid programming for over a year. No mask mandate and all programs are up and running.
McLeod has been running all their programs for over a year now, we do not require volunteers to wear masks. The volunteers are told that if they have a cough or are not feeling well/fever they need to find someone to take their place as they will not be allowed into the facility. So far it has been going good.
Tri-County (Polk, Norman, Red Lake) is running programs just like we did pre-pandemic (volunteers are asked not to come in if they feel ill).
Douglas is running programs as normal. No mask policy.
Chisago county is back to normal as far as programming goes.
Meeker County is running all programs with no mask requirement, we ask the volunteers to stay home if they have any type of cough or not feeling 100%.
Nicollet county is currently running all programs and we do not have a mask policy at this time.
Benton is running in-person programming without masks. That started again end of February.
Houston Co. is back to normal but volunteers are required to wear masks if they have a known positive exposure or are experiencing any symptoms.
The only restrictions placed upon Sherburne County is the restrictions ICE agency places on us. Anytime we have inmate(s) who are COVID positive (which happens from time to time and they are isolated in our negative pressure cells, our staff where ICE inmates are housed my wear masks and anyone coming into that unit must wear masks. So basically, outside of the ICE agency requirements, no staff, volunteers, inmates are forced to wear mask(s) unless they wish to do so inside our facility.
Stearns County is running programs again. No mask or distancing requirements. We do ask volunteers to say home if they are not feeling well.
Clay is running program like before COVID. No mask pre-cautions. Also, ask volunteers if not feeling well to not come in.
Olmsted is back to normal programming. No mask requirements.
Wright County is running normal. No masks required.
Le Sueur County running as it was pre covid. No mask or distance requirements. Our volunteers are really good about contacting me if they are feeling not 100% and I then ask them to not come.
Carlton is currently not requiring masks (unless community transmission increases). We continue to do “quarantine” when they come in (23/1—but also trying to offer more “out” time if space and time permits each day). I believe they are tested on day 5 or 6 and if clear, can resume all programs/activities and visiting.
St. Louis is running all programs. We no longer mix units, we don’t require masks or social distancing (although it is encouraged), we ask volunteers and staff to stay home if sick, all volunteers are required to vaccinate. We test on admission, if positive we do another test, if they are still positive, we isolate and wear full PPE. Once they are negative, we move them to a unit with others. We offer vaccination clinics; we have one this Thursday. Anyone who is sick and shows symptoms we test. Staff that are positive must stay home until negative. The last thing, I, P.F. Lemke do unit cleanings with the inmates on each unit.
We have had very good luck with our protocol for dealing with COVID.
