Hey! Looking to see any quick, easy, fun programming you do for or with your inmates that would be easy to duplicate! We currently do weekly football picks with the inmates and give out prizes each week for those with the most correct picks! It goes over really well so looking to see what other fun easy ideas others do with their inmates!
Thanks!! Miranda

Steele County sends out a weekly riddle on Friday. Everyone that answers correctly gets their name put in & we draw one name on Monday & that inmate gets a ramen noodle. It goes over well.

Le Sueur also does weekly NFL picks with a prize to the most correct, tiebreaker involved so only 1 winner. I also put a trivia question on my monthly program calendar, and first non-cheating (if i catch them) response via our kiosk gets a prize. March madness goes over well also, for those inmates who are here for the entirety of the games.

Whenever an inmate attends a program, they receive a ticket that gets put into a drawing. Each week, we draw a ticket from each unit and that person will receive a prize. After each unit drawing, we hold onto all of the tickets from each unit and put them into a monthly drawing. At the end of the month, we pick a random ticket out of the monthly drawing and that person gets a choice of a meal from McDonald's. It seems pretty popular!

We currently offer monthly puzzles (crosswords, word searches, Soduku). I love some of the other things I am seeing posted and have wanted to incorporate some of these things, but currently our administration does not support giving out "Prizes." I am still working on this.
