Anyone have any tips on getting a social security card for an inmate that only has a certified birth certificate? Will a jail ID work? Any help would be appreciated.

I have only been able to get a SS card with a state ID. I have had decent luck getting the ID with a DOC ID or jail face sheet in addition to the birth certificate, especially if they have had a recent ID.

I know using a certified medical record has help me help other clients in the past. Most individuals have been seen by a medical provider at some point in their life… I have not had any luck using correctional identification such as release paperwork or IDs.
