With mandates coming to a very slow (welcome) end, my sheriff is asking me to figure out the details to possibly open Huber very soon. I am trying to figure out the logistics of it all, ie. housing restrictions, quarantine, etc. Has anyone been looking at re-opening Huber soon or have any tips or ideas. Thank you in advance Joel - Kanabec Jail

We are housing our huber directly in our work release unit. No quarantine. They currently don't get to attend any programming. We keep them separate from all other populations.

We have Huber open, they are housed separately from other inmates. No quarantine, just masked up while in the hallways

Our Huber is open as well. They are housed separately and don't attend any programming. They must have their Covid vaccination to participate in Work Release and they get Covid tested every Sunday.

We really never shut down Huber. Maybe for 6 months or so at the beginning. We keep them in a quarantine unit, and test them once a week. Or if we can in a single cell. It has never been a problem.
