What is your plan to reopen programs and how will you deal with volunteers and inmate attendance? What is your time frame and how/if your policies or procedures will be changing?

As of now, we will not be starting any programs until the rest of our county offices are reopened to the public. We are not accepting commitments with work release/STS until September as of now. When volunteers can return, we will not allow co-mingling, which will create its own issues for volunteers to meet with 7 people from 4 different blocks. We, like I imagine everyone else, are planning to move with the punches as things start to evolve, and are not set on any date for any specific program.

As of now we are on a wait and see mode for programs. We are starting visitation in the next week or so and will only do visits by appointment and one visitor at a time. We will sanitize between visits.

We are also taking a wait and see approach. We still offer Education with the teacher still allowed to come in. We will try a Teen Challenge Outreach "virtual meeting" late this week using ZOOM. Also trying to have AA / NA started the same way.

We are also taking the wait and see approach. On June first we will start allowing our outside sts crew leader to have 2 inmate workers with him. They will all need to be working and those that are leaving will need to go into our isolation pod. We are still working on some of the details but that is all we are currently allowing to happen.

We are on restriction yet until at least June 1st for all outside visitors & programming. We have discussed many options and possible plans for adjustments to lower the risk of exposure from outside volunteers by possibly conducting ITV sessions from separate room located in the jail. It totally depends on some new potential jail TECH installs & configurations. STS we will likely plan to start allowing our crew leader to have a limit of 2 workers and be restricted to go only to low public distancing contact work sites. State or County Work Release is undecided, waiting on how we will house or isolate the few going out and back into a dormitory style unit? Screening to & from daily. We are Continuing Our in house programming like Recreation, Life Skills, Library, Art Class, Videos, and few other special programmer facilitated ones.

Sherburne Co will not allow outside visitors (professional) for the unforeseen future. We have video everything now... USM/ICE/County video court. We use zoom meetings for our attorney/inmate contact. We have a system, it is working for us thus far.
I do not foresee on-site volunteers anytime soon. Programming is at a stand still unless there are games, print outs, etc we can get to them.

We are on total standby until we get a handle on COVID. It really is the only way to keep it out of the jail and everyone safe.

Freeborn does not have a plan in place yet, either. It is a wait and see for us.
