Looking to see what other facilities have for exercise equipment in their facilities and where do they get them from. Also does any facility use the TRX training bands in their facility?

Wright County does use the TRX. We had maintenance mount wall anchors in the gym to use them. We have weighted balls, sit-up decline bench, pull up bar, several ellipticals and recumbent bikes. We also have volleyball, basketball, badminton, handball and a ping-pong table.

We use the TRX system. They have the anchor point on the walls for TRX. They also have a pull up bar. I believe we get most of out gym stuff from Gopher Supply. We also have some weighted balls, heavy bags they use for "lifting", jump ropes ect. We do volleyball, basketball and handball depending on the day. We have yoga mats and a TV/DVD for workout videos.

Benton County has 3 donated resister “machines” that are about to fall apart. We have a pull-up bar and a 15-pound exercise ball. I’m looking into a dip station but I have not found one I like yet. Anoka County will be getting an Apollo multigym (https://outdoor-fit.com/products/apollo-multigym) in the coming weeks. We also have resistance bands, slam balls, jump ropes, ab wheel, push up bars, battle ropes. We currently have a dip/chin up station that will be replaced when we get our Apollo. Handball, volleyball, corn hole and various workout dvd's too. Stearns County has: Resistance bands A multi purpose body weight apparatus. TRX bands. We had them bolted to the gym wall. (They are a popular workout item for the inmates) Rowing machine Stationary Bike Bosu ball with resistance bands attached Ab wheel Stability balls The items we purchase come from a variety of businesses, mostly online. Amazon, Bob barker, etc.
Scott County has an older set-up where inmates can do push-ups, pull-ups, leg raises, sit-ups, etc... But where it is located it is rarely used. We do not have any type of cardio equipment, bands, or anything like that.
Steele County has a small gym. They can shoot hoops (no one on one, no two on two- too many fights), play handball, volleyball, badminton and pickleball. There’s a chin up bar, some yoga balls, and an exercise bike. We don’t allow jump ropes or bands due to safety concerns. We also have a ping pong table until they wreck it again. Then it’s gone and won’t be replaced.
Mower County has Recreation Areas in all housing units with a station for basic body weight exercises. I have looked into TRX but was vetoed by admin over safety concerns. I have looked into A computer or TV to stream or play DVD workout programming. The issue I ran into was whether or not we needed licensing to show these videos or streams. If anyone has info on this, I am all ears. I would like to add more recreational opportunities as well.
Rice County has a body weight machine (pull-ups, push-ups, ab chair), stationary bike, ab roller, aerobic steps and dip bar. More equipment will be coming once we get the new jail built (Jul-Aug 24). Most of our equipment is purchased from Gopher Sports in Owatonna.
St. Louis County has Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Ping Pong, Buka Ball, Nitro Ball , Badminton, Frisbee team golf, and Pickle Ball. Exercise equipment we have jump ropes, exercise bands, an exercise ball, individual exercise routines on cards posted in our gym, we have an exercise wheel, aerobic steps, and Yoga mats. I also have a TV with a DVD player and a VHS player set up on a cart. I have boxes of movies and DVD’s they can watch of on the side of any gym segment. The gym segments are always supervised. We play amateur Athletic rules, and the groups are managed so no inmate is in control. I find that way we have less fights or arguments. I run 4 gym segments a day, with an average of 65 inmates participating. We have other leisure activities like art and boardgames. I use Gopher Sports for all of our equipment, they are super good to work with.

We have stationary bikes in the multi-purpose rooms of the housing units, gen pop and protective custody. There is also one in the gym area. We have an ab roller, yoga mats, basketball, volleyball, badminton, spike ball, pickleball, and hand ball.
We also offer yoga as a group led program in the gym once a week for each general population housing unit.

Becker has a gym with a basketball hoop and handball. There is also a “Helios” multigym from Outdoor fit: pull up bar, squats, back extension, etc. We also have 4 “Tri Active” units: bike, rower, glider and elliptical. We had a ping pong table till they broke it, and we also have a bean bag toss set that we bring out for occasional supervised use. No jump rope or exercise bands.

Hennepin - New jail: basketball and a soccer ball. Old jail: basketball (only allowed to play after 1800 as there is offices below that are bothered by the noise) and an Xbox One.
